Property flooding is expected. River levels have risen on the River Cherwell at Woodford Halse as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property is possible this afternoon and overnight, 24/11/24. Further heavy rainfall is forecast this afternoon and into the evening. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Have a bag ready with vital items like medicines and insurance documents. River Cherwell, Ashby Brook, Culworth Brook, Chacombe Brook
Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising rapidly on the upper River Cherwell as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected within the next 1-2 hours tonight, 23/09/2024. Areas most at risk include properties on Sidney Road, Cherwell Terrace and Hinton Road in Woodford Halse, properties close to the river in Edgcote and properties close to the river in Cropredy, including on The Plantation and Station Road. Heavy rainfall is forecast to continue over the coming hours, clearing by the morning. We expect river levels to continue to rise over the coming 2-3 hours before stabilising and dropping into the morning. Our staff have been checking and clearing trash screens in the area. We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers.
