Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels on the Lower River Cherwell are still rising and are expected to slowly continue to do so during the night. There is rain forecast for late tonight and the early hours of tomorrow morning (30/12/2018) this should then clear away until the evening. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected in the Heyford and Trupp areas although this is expected to be minimal. Localised torrential downpours are possible but it is very uncertain where this rain will fall. If we receive this forecast rainfall water levels on the River Cherwell from Lower Heyford down to and including Oxford will be expected to rise throughout the night in response.
