On Friday, high tides are expected to affect the area due to a storm surge and large waves associated with Storm Callum. The greatest risk is expected late on Friday evening with high tide expected to peak from 9pm onwards at Kinlochbervie. Localised flooding to low-lying land and roads is likely. It is currently not possible to define exactly what areas will be affected and some areas will miss the worst of the heavy showers and thunderstorms. However where these thunderstorms do occur they are likely to bring torrential rain. People should be aware and prepared to act. The period of greatest risk is Saturday afternoon and evening.
