Cromarty Firth
A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Cromarty Firth. A combination of spring high tides, storm surge, and strong winds means there is a risk of coastal flooding on Thursday and Friday to low lying land, roads and properties along the Cromarty Firth. Flooding is expected for a few hours around the times of high tides over the next few days around 14:00 on Thursday afternoon and 02:30 on Friday morning. The high tide on Thursday afternoon will be the highest of any of the tides this week. Low lying parts of Dingwall are at risk of flooding. There will remain a risk of flooding into Friday morning as winds move round to the North and will be gale force for a time increasing wave heights along the Moray coast. Areas at risk on Friday may also include Invergordon and Cromarty. Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property. Cromarty Firth
An updated FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Cromarty Firth. A combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads and properties along the Cromarty Firth. Low lying parts of Invergordon, Dingwall and Cromarty may be at risk of flooding. Flooding impacts are expected around the time of high tide water levels: (1) between 23:00 on Sunday night till 01:00 early on Monday morning and (2) between 12:00 and 14:00 on Monday. The situation will stay monitored and an updated Flood Warning will be issued if the situation significantly changes. Cromarty Firth
A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Cromarty Firth. A combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads and properties along the Cromarty Firth. Low lying parts of Invergordon, Dingwall and Cromarty may be at risk of flooding. Flooding impacts are expected around the time of high tide. Three main peaks will occur. The first between 11:00 and 13:00 Sunday morning. The second will happen between 23:00 on Sunday night till 02:00 early on Monday morning. The third high tide will be around Monday lunchtime. Flooding impacts are expected for a few hours around the time of high tide which is at 14:30 Tuesday afternoon.
