Yarrow Valley
A FLOOD WARNING update has been issued for Yarrow Valley. River levels are peaking and will remain high but slowly go down overnight. Rainfall has cleared with further rain expected early to mid-morning Saturday and rivers may respond again, but not as high as the peaks over the last 48 hours. Flooding impacts may linger overnight tonight but it is an improving picture through the night. SEPA will continue to update this warning if the situation changes. The Yarrow Valley warning area extends from St Marys Loch to Philiphaugh and includes Yarrow Feus, Yarrow and Yarrowford. There is a risk of flooding to low-lying land and properties near to the river. For Information: Scottish Borders Councils nearest Sandbag store is a locked store at Philiphaugh Rugby Ground in Selkirk operated by the Flood Support Group. There is another sandbag store located at the Fire Station at Shawpark Crescent in Selkirk. A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Yarrow Valley. The Yarrow Water is rising following further heavy rainfall and is expected to rise above the flood warning threshold this afternoon, Friday the 29th. Levels will remain high well into Saturday. The Yarrow Valley warning area extends from St Marys Loch to Philiphaugh and includes Yarrow Feus, Yarrow and Yarrowford. There is a risk of flooding to low-lying land and properties near to the river.
