Flooding could occur at properties at Vobster, Great Elm, Egford, Coleford, Mells and Spring Gardens near Frome as further rain is forecast tonight and tomorrow 22/02/2024. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. We are clearing debris from weed screens in the area and we will continue to work with emergency services and local authorities and to keep closely monitoring the situation. River levels are rising on the River Mells, Whatley Brook due to rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Mells, Whatley Brook, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around properties at Vobster, Great Elm, Egford, Coleford, Mells and Spring Gardens near Frome. River levels are rising. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area. Flooding is affecting properties at Vobster, Great Elm, Egford, Coleford, Mells and Spring Gardens near Frome. from 08:15 PM on 04/01/2024. Further rainfall is forecast throughout the evening. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Consider activating any property flood protection products. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. River Mells, Whatley Brook
River levels have risen as a result of Storm Alex and the heavy persistent rain and increasingly wet catchment, consequently flooding could occur from 16:00 onwards peaking early evening on Sunday 04/10/20 . We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties at Vobster, Great Elm, Egford, Coleford, Mells and Spring Gardens near Frome. Further lighter possibly persistent rain is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high this evening and begin to drop overnight into Monday 05/10/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Please avoid contact with flood water.
