Bristol Channel
High spring tides and a tidal surge may lead to overtopping of sea defences. The forecast high water is 20:15 on 11/03/20 with a level of 7.45 mAOD and a Force 5 South Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Hinkley and mAOD is height above average sea level. For more details refer to local tide tables. There is the possibility of flooding to vulnerable seafront properties along the coastline between Stolford and the tidal River Parrett including low lying properties in Steart and Stolford.
We are closely monitoring the situation and we have operational gangs on the ground to monitor the tides and any impacts. Please be careful along beaches, promenades and coastal footpaths and roads.

Bristol Channel
Spray, overtopping and or onshore flooding is predicted to occur as a result of high water levels, strong onshore winds and large waves.
The first properties at risk of flooding include Chapple Cottages at Stolford and Poultry Houses at Steart.
The time and date of the forecast high water is 07:15 on 03/01/2018. The forecast tide level is 7.2 m AOD. The forecast wind strength is Force 8 to 9 and from a westerly direction.
