Flooding could occur at the Westbury Road (A363) at Yarnbrook, Hawkeridge Road at Horse Bridge, Shallow Wagon Lane at Heywood and West Ashton Road at Trowbridge as river levels are remaining high. Further rainfall is forecast tomorrow morning.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. River levels are rising on the Paxcroft Brook due to recent rainfall. Levels on the Biss are also rising but are not forecast to reach the flood alert threshold.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Paxcroft Brook. No property flooding is expected. Flooding is possible from 9:00 AM until the afternoon on 02/03/2024.
Further moderate rainfall is expected on Saturday with drier conditions following on Sunday. River levels will start to fall through Saturday afternoon.

River levels have risen at the Trowbridge Paxcroft river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible this morning and afternoon 03/11/22. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for Heather Shaw Road and West Ashton Road on the Paxcroft Brook and riverside properties at Southwick, Lambrok Close, Berkeley Road, Acacia Crescent and Albion Drive on the Lambrok Stream. River levels have risen overnight and have reacted to the heavy persistent rain Flood water could be deep and fast flowing, and therefore pose a risk to life.
Further showery rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until over the next few days and react to further rainfall..
