Over the next few days high tides are expected to coincide with tidal surge and moderate to large offshore waves. The greatest impacts are expected during the high tides on Tuesday 17th April, set to occur at approximately 8:00 AM and 8:15 PM at Mumbles, local time. The tide on Tuesday morning is expected to give the greatest impacts. Care should be taken at exposed locations around the coast such as sea front areas, roads adjacent to the sea and promenades. Wave overtopping is expected at some locations; this can be dangerous and may contain debris. The wind is forecast to be approximately force 7 from a south- south- westerly direction. Offshore waves are expected to be moderate to large.

High tides are predicted for the coming week between Sunday 31st December 2017 and Saturday 6th January 2018, with the highest tides around the mid-week period. The weather forecast for the week ahead indicates a spell of stormy weather with onshore gales at times. This will lead to large waves at the coast which will have the potential to create hazardous conditions at high tide. The situation will be constantly monitored by NRW and further updates issued as the week progresses.

High tides are predicted this evening Wednesday 6th December and again tomorrow morning Thursday 7th December 2017. Peak tides will occur at 1015pm at Mumbles today, and 0830am tomorrow. The wind is forecast to increase force 7 to gale 8 from the southwest this evening. Offshore waves are expected to be large. Be careful on beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads. Be careful as the waves could be dangerous and may contain debris.

High tides are predicted over the weekend, with the worst conditions expected to occur on Saturday morning when large waves are predicted along with a large storm surge. Winds are forecast to increase to Force 8 from a South Westerly direction overnight on Friday and veer Westerly and remain strong throughout Saturday. Offshore waves are expected to increase overnight Friday and remain very large throughout Saturday. Be careful on beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths, roads and low lying land, where coastal flooding is possible. Be careful as sea spray and waves could be dangerous and could contain debris.

High tides are predicted for this afternoon's tides, October 16th 2017. The winds are forecast to be gale force 9 from a south westerly direction. Offshore waves are expected to be very large. Be careful on beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths, roads, close to the seafront. The combination of large waves and high winds could result in damage to exposed stretches of the coastline. Be careful as sea spray and waves could be dangerous, and could contain debris.
