The washland upstream of Catcliffe at Woodhouse Mill has now begun to drain slowly. We are operating all our flood risk assets to their maximum. We are expecting scattered showers throughout today (Monday, 11/11/19), however we do not currently expect this to have any further significant impact on river levels. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and our incident room remains open. Please see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. We are issuing this warning due to Woodhouse Mill washland, which is upstream, being full and causing flooding at that location, therefore not issuing due to the local river level at Catcliffe however Catcliffe may still be impacted. River levels are extremely high as a result of persistent rainfall and the catchment is at full capacity. We are operating all our flood risk assets to their maximum. Further showers are forecast over the next 24 hours however we do not expect this rainfall to cause any further impacts. We do expect river levels to remain high this evening and into tomorrow 09/11/19. We are closely monitoring the situation and have staff onsite.
