This Warning is still in force today (15/11/2019) due to high river levels from the recent rainfall overnight. River levels remain high but are expected to fall through this evening. Bentley pumping station is operating as normal.
No further significant rainfall is expected over today and tomorrow. However, there is potential for a further band of rain to move across South Yorkshire on Sunday (17/11/2019). We are monitoring this situation closely and we continue to support the coordinated multi‐agency response and our incident room is open 24/7.

A band of rain has now moved across South Yorkshire and scattered showers are forecast during the morning of Friday the 15th of November. The River Don has risen in response to the rain and is forecast to peak at around 09:00, although levels are not expected to result in further overtopping of rivers banks and defences. River levels in the Lower Don have fallen through today. Rain is falling across the South Yorkshire catchment and is forecast to continue until approximately 22:00 this evening, Thursday 14/11/2019, this will be followed by showers overnight into tomorrow, Friday 15/11/2019. There is reduced floodplain capacity and given the wet ground conditions, we expect the River Don and its main inflows to rise later today and into 15 November although levels are not currently forecast to result in further overtopping of rivers banks and defences.
