We currently expect levels on the River Don at Kilnhurst to continue to fall over the course of Monday morning and into the afternoon (17th February) and Kilnhurst Washlands have drained steadily over the course of the night. Scattered showers are forecast for the first half of the week, however we do not currently anticipate a further significant river level response from these, allowing levels to continue to fall. Levels on the River Don at Kilnhurst peaked at 3pm today, 16/02/20, but remain elevated and will remain high throughout tonight and into tomorrow. Kilnhurst Washlands are beginning to drain. Consequently, the risk of flooding of property, roads and farmland remains. The area most at risk is Hooton Road. We are closely monitoring the situation from our Leeds incident room which remains open. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near watercourses, which may be flooded and please put your flood plan into action. River levels have risen rapidly as a result of heavy rainfall overnight. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected today, 16/02/20. The area most at risk is Hooton Road. River levels have risen as a result of the persistent heavy rainfall today. Consequently, flooding of property and roads across Kilnhurst is expected this evening, 07/11/19. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours and we expect river levels to remain high until 09:00 on 08/11/19.
