Levels remain high on Ea Beck into the evening Monday 6th January 2025, due to persistent rainfall and melting of snowfall throughout yesterday and today. River levels are rising at Aldwick Le Street and flooding is possible overnight. Areas most at risk include Ea Beck and the River Skell from Hemsworth to Thorpe in Balne. The forecast is to be mainly dry and cold for the next few days. Cold temperatures are forecast to continue through the week and icy conditions remain. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses. Please refer to advice from local authorities and the emergency services regarding risks relating to snow and icy conditions. Levels have risen on Ea Beck overnight Sunday 5th and into Monday 6th January 2025, due to persistent rainfall and melting of snowfall throughout yesterday and overnight. River levels are currently rising and flooding is possible from 06:00 this morning.
Areas most at risk include Ea Beck and the River Skell from Hemsworth to Thorpe in Balne.
Wintry showers are expected to continue until 08:00 this morning, after which it will be mainly dry and cold for the next few days. Cold temperatures are forecast to continue through next week and icy conditions remain.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses. Please refer to advice from local authorities and the emergency services regarding risks relating to snow and icy conditions.

River levels are rising on Ea Beck due to widespread rainfall today. Flooding is possible, particularly around South Elmsall. River levels are expected to peak around 9pm tonight, Tuesday 2/1/23 and then are likely to begin to fall during the night. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. River levels are forecast to rise on the Ea Beck due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include Fordstead Lane between Arksey and Barnby Dun. Flooding of low-lying land near the watercourse is likely throughout Friday night, 20th October 2023 into the early hours of Saturday 21st October 2023. Further heavy rainfall is forecast throughout today and river levels are expected to continue to rise. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.

River levels are forecast to rise on the Ea Beck due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include Fordstead Lane between Arksey and Barnby Dun. Ea Beck, River Skell
River levels are now falling in the south Elmsall area and will continue to fall through the night and into tomorrow, 18/11/22. We are closely monitoring the situation and no further rainfall is currently forecast overnight or tomorrow. We therefore plan to remove this flood alert in the morning.
No further flooding to fields and roads is expected, however there may still be standing water so please continue to take care on waterside roads and footpaths. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.

Ea Beck, River Skell
River levels have risen in the South Elmsall area as a result of persistent heavy rainfall overnight and this morning. Consequently, flooding of roads and low-lying land is expected between now and this evening, 17/11/22. Areas most at risk are low-lying land and roads. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point, but there may be surface water issues locally. Further rainfall is forecast throughout the day before dying out overnight. We expect river levels to peak around 18:00 before falling away this evening.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and clearing weed screens. Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses.
