River levels are still rising in response to heavy rainfall over night and early this morning. Flooding remains possible today, Wednesday 01/01/2025. Areas at risk include low lying land and roads, particularly around Kearsley Brook at Conisbrough. Rainfall is expected to clear this morning, and levels will remain high before falling later. We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue Flood Warnings if necessary. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk, drive or cycle through flood water. This message will be updated by 20:00 on Wednesday, 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes.

Rising river levels this evening and overnight may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from midnight tonight, 31/12/2024. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Kearsley Brook, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Kearsley Brook at Conisbrough. Further flooding is possible overnight as river levels will rise rapidly due to heavy rainfall. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and liaising with emergency services and local authorities. We will issue flood warnings where required. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded.
