River Blithe
River levels remain high at the Blythe Bridge river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Flooding is affecting properties around the Uttoxeter Road area and Blithe View. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water and plan travel routes ahead of time in case of flooding. Please move family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety. Turn off gas, electric and water and stay aware for further updates. Activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. This message will be updated as the situation changes.
