There is further unsettled weather forecast for the week ahead, so we are continuing to closely monitor the situation, and our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may still be flooded. Flooding is affecting properties around Actonmill Bridge and Acton Gate Further rain showers are forecast over the next 6 hours. River levels have peaked and will remain high but are beginning to fall, with no further rise forecasted. We are closely monitoring the situation. This Flood Warning has been issued in response to the thunderstorms in your area over the previous 12 hours, which have resulted in the rapid rising of river levels and the rapid flooding of low lying land and roads. The river levels are continuing to rise and forecast to peak this morning but there may be isolated thunderstorms throughout the day. There is possibility of flooding at Acton Gate, Stafford. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely, liaising with our professional partners, and have staff out checking for and clearing blockages.
