River levels are high and rising slowly at the Broadeye Bridge river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall from Storm Christoph over the last 24 hours. Consequently, flooding to property is possible this evening and overnight 21/01/2021. No further rainfall is currently forecast. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and move family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety. This message will be updated tomorrow morning 22/01/2021, or as the situation changes.
