River Tame
River levels are rising at the Tamworth river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning 07/01/2025. We expect flooding to affect properties in Coleshill road, Mayfair Drive, New Mill Lane, Marina View, Brook End, Tolson Avenue, Buxton Avenue, Atherton Street area and Mount Pleasant. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until tomorrow morning 07/01/2025. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and move family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety. This message will be updated by 10:00 on 07/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
