River levels are expected to continue to rise in response to recent rainfall. Areas most at risk are low lying roads and riverside areas around Haverhill, Clare and Sudbury, including Kedington, Sturmer, Steeple Bumpstead, Cavendish, Bridge Street and Long Melford. The forecast is for further rain during this morning, Sunday 18 February, with the potential for some heavy showers. The rain is expected to clear off the East coast by early afternoon. We are currently seeing higher river levels than normal. It is possible that we may need to issue more warning messages for a wider area over the next few hours. The forecast is for further rainfall through this morning and into this afternoon before clearing by the evening. Tomorrow, Monday 16th November, is forecast to be mostly dry.
