Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the River Wey as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land, roads and property is expected to continue today 10/02/2024, especially in the areas closest to the River Wey around Elstead Mill.
The forecast is for a mostly dry day with some patches of light rain. We expect river levels to remain high throughout today. Our staff have been in the area clearing trash screens. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Avoid contact with flood water. Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the River Wey as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land, roads and property is expected later this evening 09/02/2024, especially in the areas closest to the River Wey around Elstead Mill.
The forecast is for further heavy showers this evening (09/02/2024) before a predominantly dry night and day tomorrow. We expect river levels to continue to rise overnight and into tomorrow 10/02/2024. Our staff have been in the area clearing trash screens. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
