Property flooding is possible. River levels will remain high on the River Wey as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property is possible this evening 17/02/20 and overnight into 18/02/2020, especially in the Westbrook area. We expect flooding to affect the Catteshall Road, Godalming areas. Our Operational staff have deployed temporary barriers at Godalming this morning to help protect properties in these areas. Peak levels will be similar those in February 2014. Light showers are forecast for the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the next couple of days. Our response staff have been in the area clearing trash screens and checking defences. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated tomorrow morning 18/02/2020, or as the situation changes.
