Hoe Stream
Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the Hoe Stream as as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected this morning, 5 January 2024, especially in the Mayfield area of Woking. River levels may reach levels similar to those of August 2006. The forecast for the next 48 hours is drier with some scattered showers. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 6 January 2024, or as the situation changes.
