Therefore, flooding of roads and farmland is expected today (21/10/21) and flooding of properties is possible, especially Cranleigh and Shamley Green. The forecast is for a dry day today and tomorrow, so levels are expected to fall slowly throughout today and tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. This message will be updated this evening 21/10/2021, or as the situation changes.

Property flooding is possible. River levels are high on the River Wey at Cranleigh and Shamley Green as a result of Storm Dennis. Flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue, especially in the Elmbridge Village area. Peak levels will be similar to the flooding in December 2019. Light showers are forecast over the next 48 hours, and we expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in the area checking defences.
