River levels have fallen overnight following yesterdays heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. A flood warning is still in place for the River Cole at Coleshill. There may be isolated showers throughout the day and further showers are forecast throughout the week, so please remain vigilant and continue to monitor the forecast. It is not possible for us to know where these storms could occur, so please remain vigilant and monitor your own local weather conditions. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely, liaising with our professional partners, and have staff out checking for and clearing blockages. River levels have risen sharply on the River Cole as a result the heavy rainfall today. Flooding to roads and properties from surface water is likely as well as significant patches of standing water. As river levels continue to rise there may be flooding to low lying land and roads in the area. The rain is expected to continue to fall in the area until 9pm this evening (27 May 2018) so please remain vigilant.
