Any rainfall is now clearing to the east and it should be a largely dry night and into tomorrow morning (01/04/18). Therefore levels are expected to continue to rise tonight and flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Cropredy area. We are constantly monitoring river levels. Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels on the Upper River Cherwell near Woodford Halse have fallen through the day however levels in Banbury are still rising. They are expected to stabilise and stop rising during the night. There is no more rainfall forecast for the next 24 hours. Flooding of low lying land and roads is no longer expected. We are constantly monitoring river levels and our staff were out in the area today (27/12/2017) checking for and clearing blockages and will be doing the same tomorrow.
