High tides are predicted over the next few days from Wednesday 19th August to Sunday 23rd August. The peak of the tidal risk is likely to be in the evening of Thursday through to Friday. Tide levels will be high over the entire period on each high tide. The tidal situation is predicted to improve over the weekend. The winds are forecast to be force 4-5 through the period. The wind will be from a Southerly direction through the evening of Thursday. On Friday, the predicted wind direction is for South Westerly winds. On Saturday, the wind is from a Westerly direction. Offshore waves are expected to be moderate to large. Be careful on coastal footpaths, roads, low lying land, close to the estuary. Be careful as sea spray and waves could be dangerous and could contain debris, particularly in exposed locations. Please take additional care over the periods of high tides due to the risk of debris and wave overtopping at exposed locations.

High tides are predicted over the next few days, from this evening high tide on Thursday 07th May 2020 until Saturday mornings high tide on the 9th May 2020. High tides for this evenings tide will be at 7:15 PM, Friday 8th May high tide times are at 7:45 AM and 8:00 PM, Saturday 9th May high tide will be at 8:30 AM. These times have been taken from the Mumbles gauge. Marginal exceedance expected this evening, with the peak of the spring tides expected tomorrow evening, Friday 8th May. The winds are forecast to be force 2-3 beaufort scale from a north easterly direction.

It is probable that this tidal alert will remain in force until after the evening tide on Friday the 10th of April, with high-water levels expected to increase to a peak level on Thursday morning. The wind is forecast to be force 2 and from an easterly direction.

The peak astronomical tide of the current series of large spring tides has now passed but a new Atlantic depression will produce a significant surge component for the morning tide on Thursday the 13th of February. The time of high-water on Thursday the 13th of February will be approximately 9:00 a.m. The wind is forecast to be force 5 and from a north-westerly direction. Offshore wave heights will be moderate.

Following the passage of Storm Ciara, wind strengths, tidal surge and wave heights remain high but are generally dropping slowly for the peak of the Spring tides on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of February. However, impacts are still expected around the coast so please continue to avoid the coastal roads liable to flooding in this area at high tide. The weather patterns remain unsettled this week so we will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.

Tides are rising towards a period of spring tides. In tide tables, these peak on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of February. Values in tide tables for Sunday are not especially large, however, they are forecast to coincide with storm Ciara; this storm is expected to create strong winds, tidal surge and large waves. Impacts are expected from Sunday morning into next week as the unsettled weather is expected to continue - please avoid coastal roads in the Crofty area around high tide throughout this period.

The tidal alert level at Crofty is forecast to be exceeded for the evening tide on Wednesday the 27th of November and the morning tide on Thursday the 28th of November. The high tide on Wednesday evening will occur at 18:45GMT at Milford Haven and the morning high tide on Thursday will occur at 07:00GMT at Milford Haven. The wind is forecast to be force 5 and from a west north-west direction.

High tides are predicted from Monday evening the 25th of November, until Thursday morning the 28th of November. The highest tides in this period are currently expected to occur on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning as tides coincide with a low-pressure weather system likely to generate moderate amounts of tidal surge and large offshore waves. Winds over this period will be changeable, on Tuesday winds are generally expected from a more southerly direction force 6 to 7, changing to a more northerly direction on Wednesday morning, force 5 to 6. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is possible over this period, especially on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. Extra care should be taken around the coast during periods of high tide. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message if the situation changes.

Current predictions indicate that this level will be also be exceeded for successive high tides between the morning tide on Monday the 28th of October and the evening tide on Tuesday the 29th of October. The wind is forecast to be force 3 and from a north north-easterly direction.

High tide on Friday will occur at 7:15 PM at Burry Port, and 7:30 AM on Saturday. The southerly winds will increase today reaching force 7, perhaps gale force 8 for a time shortly before high tide. Southwesterly force 6 winds are expected this evening. Minor flooding of the coastal land and roads close to the estuary is expected, with Friday evening's tide the highest. Fridays high tides at Burry Port will be at 7 AM and 7.15 PM. The Southerly winds are forecast to increase through today from force 5 to force 7 this evening. During the early hours of Friday morning winds will become a South-westerly force 5. Residents in Osborne Place should monitor the situation and consider closing their flood gates if it is required.
