Tuesday's early morning tide at 00:45 on 11/02/2020 is expected to be very similar to that of Monday lunchtime. The tide will be higher than normal due to unsettled weather, with Gale Force 8 Westerly winds. The weather increases tide table values by 0.33 m. The total forecast tide is 5.34 metres Chart Datum (2.60 mAOD) at Chichester Harbour. For 1 hour either side of high water, flooding will affect Shore Road and a small number of properties in Bosham High Street and Gloucester Terrace. Water will reach the top of slipways in West Itchenor. There are high tides and large waves forecast until Thursday 13/02/2020. Thursday's early morning tide could be similar to recent days. Tuesday's tide at 12:45 11/2/2020 will be lower, but could still cause minor impacts. We continue to monitor the forecast. Monday afternoon's tide at 12:00 on 10/02/2020 is higher than normal due to Storm Ciara which brings strong Force 7 westerly winds. The weather increases tide table values by 0.54 m. The total forecast tide is 5.50 metres Chart Datum (2.76 mAOD) at Chichester Harbour. For 1 hour either side of high water, flooding will affect Shore Road and a small number of properties in Bosham High Street and Gloucester Terrace. Water will reach the top of slipways in West Itchenor. Strong winds and large waves are expected from 08:00 on Sunday 09/02/2020 as Storm Ciara passes across the South East. There is a risk of flooding from spray. High tides, large waves and the risk of flooding will remain similar until Thursday 13/2/2020. We continue to monitor the forecast. Wednesday morning's tide at 11:30 on 27/11/2019 is higher than normal due to unsettled weather. With strong South Westerly Force 7 winds associated with ex tropical storm Sebastien. The weather increases tide table values by 0.43 m. The total forecast tide is 5.47 metres Chart Datum (2.73 mAOD) at Chichester Harbour. For 1 hour either side of high water, flooding will affect Shore Road and a small number of properties in Bosham High Street and Gloucester Terrace. Water will reach the top of slipways in West Itchenor including near Itchenor Sailing Club and The Street. Wave heights will increase Wednesday evening, but tide heights and flood risk will gradually reduce from Thursday. We continue to monitor the forecast. Tuesday afternoon's tide at 14:00 on 1/10/2019 will be similar but not as high as Sunday lunchtime. The unsettled weather (strong South Westerly Force 6 winds) increases tide table values Tuesday by 0.24 m (surge) giving a forecast tide of 5.40 metres Chart Datum (2.66 mAOD) in Chichester Harbour. For two hours either side of Tuesday's high tide, flooding will affect Shore Road as well as a small number of properties in Bosham High Street and along Gloucester Terrace. Water will also be high up slipways in West Itchenor. Tuesday morning's tide (5.27 mCD 01:30 1/10/2019) will also generate minor impacts at high water in Bosham (Shore Road, High Street). From Tuesday evening tides will return to more normal levels and the risk of flooding becomes much less likely. We continue to monitor tide levels and forecasts. Flood boards should be installed prior to high tide if you have them. We will remove this message by 18:00 on 1/10/2019

Sunday evening's tide (5.28 m Chart Datum at 00:30 30/09/2019) will generate minor impacts at high water in Bosham (Shore Road, High Street). Monday afternoon's tide at 13:15 on 30/09/2019 will be similar but not as high as Sunday lunchtime. The unsettled weather (light South Westerly Force 4 winds) increases tide table values Monday by 0.16 m (surge) giving a forecast tide of 5.38 m Chart Datum (2.64 mAOD) in Chichester Harbour. For two hours either side of Monday's high tide, flooding will affect Shore Road as well as a small number of properties in Bosham High Street and along Gloucester Terrace. Water will also be high up slipways in West Itchenor. Tuesday lunchtime's tide (1/10/2019) is forecast to be similar in height and impacts as Monday lunchtime (30/9/2019) with overnight tides 10cm lower. We continue to monitor tide levels and forecasts. Flood boards should be installed prior to high tide if you have them. We will update this message by 16:00 on 30/09/2019.

Sunday afternoon's tide at 12:30 on 29/09/2019 will be higher than normal due to unsettled weather with strong South Westerly Force 6 winds. The weather increases tide table values by 0.27 m (surge). The forecast tide is 5.47 m Chart Datum (2.73 mAOD) in Chichester Harbour. For an hour either side of high water, flooding will affect Shore Road as well as a small number of properties in Bosham High Street and along Gloucester Terrace. Water will also be high up slipways in West Itchenor. Tuesday (1/10/2019) lunchtime's tide is forecast to be similar in height and impacts as Sunday (29/9/2019) lunchtime, with tides in between 10cm lower. We continue to monitor tide levels and forecasts and update our messages. Flood boards should be installed prior to high tide if you have them, to help reduce the impacts over the high water period. Any impacts should be minimal and localised but we are not expecting any flooding to properties. The forecast for Friday afternoon remains a little unsettled, but it is possible a Flood Warning may be reissued. Tide levels are expected to be only 10 centimetres higher than Wednesday so similar impacts are expected. Flooding will affect Shore Road as well as a small number of properties on Bosham High Street and along Gloucester Terrace. All flood boards should be installed. Water will also be high up slipways in West Itchenor. Take care if visiting the coast. Install flood protection products if available. Tides will likely decrease over the coming days. Storm Eleanor will ease but strong winds, large waves and a higher than average tide will continue tonight. Impacts should be less than today, but water will flood Shore Road and minor flooding impacts are expected on Bosham High Street at high tide. Shoreside properties around Chichester Harbour could also be affected. This Flood Warning will be reissued for Thursday 4 Jan with a comparable tide to Wednesday. Tides do not fall significantly until the weekend, but with wind and waves easing the overall flood risk should reduce. Take care if visiting the coast. This message is being issued for the high tide on Wednesday 3 January at 11:45, when strong winds, large waves and a higher than average tide are forecast to coincide. Around high tide flooding will affect Shore Road, as well as a small number of properties in Bosham High Street and along Gloucester Terrace. All flood boards should be installed. Water will also be high up slipways in West Itchenor. We are monitoring conditions. Tide levels are high over the next 48 hours.
