Although river levels in Shripney and Bersted have fallen 20cm from their peak, they remain high. Persistent rain is forecast for the area most of Thursday morning, and then return between 19:00 26/12/2019 and 03:00 27/12/2019. River levels are forecast to rise this afternoon, by about 10cm, before beginning to slowly fall again from Friday afternoon. Flooding impacts will remain until next week. But are not forecast to be worse than already experienced. Locations affected will include fields, gardens and rural roads through Shripney and Bersted, as well as Riverside Caravan Park, Rowan Park Caravan Site and the Tescos Car Park. The weekend should stay dry, allowing river levels to fall further and impacts reduce. Some roads may be affected by flood water, please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. River levels are still high on the Aldingbourne Rife, but will continue to slowly fall on Christmas Day. However heavy rain is expected Boxing Day which will cause river levels to rise again. Flooding impacts will likely remain until next week. Locations affected will include fields, gardens and rural roads through Shripney and Bersted, as well as Riverside Caravan Park, Rowan Park Caravan Site and the Tescos Car Park. Rain Thursday is expected from 07:00 26/12/2019. River levels will likely peak in Shripney and Bersted by 09:00 Friday 27/12/2019 and should peak lower than recent highs. Some roads may be affected by flood water, please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. River levels remain high on the Aldingbourne Rife, but are now slowly falling. Flooding impacts will likely remain all week. Locations affected will include fields, gardens and rural roads through Shripney and Bersted, as well as Riverside Caravan Park, Rowan Park Caravan Site and the Tescos Car Park. Light rain is possible Tuesday, Wednesday should stay dry, but further widespread and heavy rain is forecast for Thursday 26/12/2019. Thursday's rain will cause river levels to rise again, but it is predicted flooding should not be as bad as experienced Sunday (22/12/2019). River levels remain high on the Aldingbourne Rife. River levels are likely to remain steady through Monday and Tuesday. Flooding impacts will likely remain all week. Locations affected will include fields, gardens and rural roads through Shripney and Bersted, as well as Riverside Caravan Park, Rowan Park Caravan Site and the Tescos Car Park. Monday should stay largely dry. Light rain Tuesday morning will be followed by the chance of heavy showers Tuesday afternoon 24/12/2019. River levels should remain steady, or at worse, rise by a small amount. Further rain is forecast for Boxing day, which may see the river rise, but again not expected to be significantly higher than the current levels (but a few centimetres). Locations affected will include fields, gardens and rural roads through Shripney and Bersted, as well as Riverside Caravan Park, Rowan Park Caravan Site and the Tesco's Car Park. Sunday and Monday, 23/12/2019 should be largely dry days. However, isolated showers could occur Tuesday 24/12/2019, which cause river levels to rise again. Widespread rain is forecast between 17:00 Saturday 21/12/2019 and 08:00 Sunday 22/12/2019. River levels will rise further Saturday afternoon and evening. From 21:00 21/12/2019 flooding is possible. The river should peak by 10:00 22/12/2019, with Sunday and Monday relatively dry, but more heavy rain could fall Tuesday (24/12/2019). Flooding is expected from 18:00 20/12/2019. With heavy showers from 04:00 Saturday morning (21/12/2019), and further widespread rain from 16:00, river levels will rise further and remain high on Sunday (22/12/2019).
