As well as extensive water in fields, flooding will also affect properties near Mock Bridge and their gardens. Only a small amount of rain is forecast during Sunday afternoon and into Monday. The river should begin to fall by 23:00 on 05/01/2025, and should return to normal from Tuesday 07/01/2025. River levels could end up higher than November 2024. Some roads may become impassable. The river should begin to fall by 20:00 27/11/2024, and should return to normal from 10:00 28/11/2024. Flood impacts should begin to slowly ease when river levels start to fall. The River Adur is very high following Monday's rain, but is now slowly falling. Flooding will continue to affect properties at Mock Bridge, near Shermanbury as well as the A281 at Mock Bridge. There will be extensive water in fields. No rain is forecast for the next five days, with high pressure predicted to bring dry and settled weather. The river will continue to fall. Flood impacts will begin to ease from 17:00 (07/05/2024), however, it might be Wednesday (08/05/2024) before river levels and flood risk have fallen significantly. From 22:30 (06/05/2024) flooding will affect properties and their gardens at Mock Bridge, near Shermanbury. Extensive water will be in fields, and will affect the A281 at Mock Bridge. Rain has now cleared the area, and high pressure, bringing settled and dry weather, is forecast for the next five days. The river should begin to fall by 07:00 (07/05/2024), and should return to normal by 18:00 Wednesday (08/05/2024). River levels could end up similar to the peaks seen in February 2024. The River Adur is still high, following rain on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Flooding will continue to affect properties near Mock Bridge and their gardens. Water will continue to affect the A281 at Mock Bridge, near Shermanbury, as well as there being extensive water in fields. Thursday, Friday and Saturday are forecast to remain dry. The river levels have started to fall, but are unlikely to return to normal until Saturday. Some roads included in this message may be impassable. River Adur
The River Adur is high and rising. Over half a month's rain (45mm) has been measured at Haywards Heath in the past 24 hours, nearly half of that from Storm Aurore. From 05:00 21/10/2021 flooding will affect properties near Mock Bridge and their gardens. Water will also affect the A281 at Mock Bridge, near Shermanbury, as well as there being extensive water in fields. Only a further 5mm of rain is expected before the rain clears eastwards at 03:00 21/10/2021. Thursday, Friday and Saturday are then forecast to remain dry. The river should begin to fall by 20:00 21/10/2021, but is unlikely to return to normal until Saturday. River levels will end up higher than they were at the start of October 2021, and could peak higher than during the whole of 2021 so far. Some roads included in this message may become impassable, please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast.
