The flood alert for the Tidal River Wharfe remains in force as river levels remain high on the Wharfe at Tadcaster following recent heavy rainfall related to Storm Bella. The level at Tadcaster has peaked and is gradually falling. The level is now 2.7m and is expected to continue falling overnight and into the morning on Monday 28/12/2020. River levels on the Wharfe upstream of Tadcaster are also falling. Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads. Access to Crane Cottages will be affected until a level of 2.8m. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded. This message will be updated in 8 hours or as the situation changes.

The flood alert for the Tidal River Wharfe is now in force due to heavy rainfall related to Storm Bella leading to high river levels on the Wharfe at Tadcaster. The level of the River Wharfe at Tadcaster is now 2.7m and is expected to rise a little further on the evening of Sunday 27/12/20. River levels on the Wharfe upstream of Tadcaster are falling. Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads. Access to Crane Cottages will be affected if the river level reaches 2.8m.
