River Spen, Canker Dyke
River levels have risen rapidly as a result of persistent heavy rainfall from yesterday evening Tuesday 31 December 2024 and throughout the early morning on Wednesday 1 January 2025. Consequently, flooding of property is likely. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 14:30 on Wednesday 1st January 2025, or as the situation changes.
