Consequently, flooding of property is likely. Areas most at risk include Callis Bridge and Charlestown between Burnt Acres Wood Bottom and Calderside including Halifax Road and the Sewage Treatment works. We expect river levels to peak at around 5.00am today, Wednesday 01 January 2025. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Further heavy rainfall is expected into Sunday morning, 24 November 2024. River levels are expected to rise again as a result of this rainfall, but are not expected to peak as high.
