River Calder
River levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold and we expect to remove this flood warning in the morning (22/02/2022). Further showery rainfall is forecast over the next few days although this is not expected to have a significant effect on river levels. We continue to monitor the situation. Our incident response staff are checking the condition of defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated by 09:25, 22/02/2022 or as the situation changes.

Flood Warning issued on 21 Feb 2022 17:03
River Calder
River levels rose as a result of persistent (heavy) rainfall yesterday and overnight. Areas most at risk are properties in Low Mill Industrial Estate. River levels remain high but have begun to fall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Although further unsettled weather and showers are forecast, we are not expecting any further significant rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 01:00am on 22/02/2022, or as the situation changes.
