River levels are falling but remain high as a result of persistent heavy rainfall and rapid snow melt yesterday, Saturday 23 November 2024, associated with Storm Bert. Whilst levels at Todmorden have started to fall, there is further rain forecast this morning, Sunday 24 November. Levels may start to rise again, but are not expected to get as high as peak levels on Saturday 23 November. Areas most at risk are Holdroyd Crescent (Warmans).
We are monitoring the situation closely. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Consider taking appropriate steps to prepare for possible flooding, such as moving things upstairs and getting flood protection equipment ready to put in place.

Levels at Todmorden are forecast to continue to rise until about 4pm this afternoon. Areas most at risk are Holdroyd Crescent (Warmans). We are monitoring the situation closely.
