Bristol River Avon
Upto 20 millimetres of rainfall has fallen over the area during the night. The rivers continue to rise in response to the rainfall as it drains through the catchment and into the rivers. River levels on the River Avon at Great Somerford are rising and is expected to peak at around 4pm today on 02/04/2018. Further showers are forecast for the next couple of days but with small amounts of rainfall than in previous days. We will continue to monitor the river levels and update our information.

River levels remain high in response to the rainfall that fell overnight on 26/12/2017. The next 42 hours are expected to be largely dry, with a forecast of more rainfall on the afternoon of 29/12/2017 on top of already wetted catchments. River levels on the River Avon at Great Somerford have peaked and are now beginning to fall.

Up to 30 mm of rainfall has fallen between 09:00 am on 26/12/2017 and 09:00 am on 27/12/2017. Rivers are still responding to this rainfall. The next 48 hours are expected to be largely dry, with a forecast of more rainfall on 29/12/2017. River levels on the River Avon at Great Somerford are steadily rising but should be peaking towards this afternoon.
