The river catchments have now reached saturation and some slow responding rivers across the Upper Bristol Avon are still slowly rising in response to the rainfall we have had over the weekend. The river level from Malmesbury to Chippenham is starting to fall. Further band of rain with some intense downpours are forecast this afternoon on Monday 14/10/.2019 and into Tuesday. This may cause the river to rise again in response to the rainfall. There is some uncertainty as to the location of the heavy downpours but these are forecast to move gradually northwards overnight. No properties are forecast to flood but there may be some low lying land and roads that could be affected. Please keep upto date with your local weather and stay clear of fast moving rivers.
