River levels have risen quickly in response to heavy rainfall are expected to cause flooding throughout the morning. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Somerset Frome, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the Westwood to Freshford road. The river has reacted quickly at the Tellisford gauge from the weekends heavy rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation and clearing debris from weed screens. Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. River levels have risen on the Somerset Frome at Tellisford gauge due to heavy rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Somerset Frome, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around the Westwood to Freshford road. Further rainfall is forecast in the early hours of tomorrow morning which will keep levels high. We will continue to monitor levels closely and we are clearing debris from weed screens in the area. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Somerset Frome, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around the Westwood to Freshford road.. Flooding is expected at the Westwood to Freshford road. from 7:30 AM on 18/02/2024. Further rainfall is forecast this morning but will start to clear. River levels are rising. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
