River levels have risen on the River Arrow and River Alne as a result of a band of heavy showery rain passing through the catchment yesterday afternoon and evening. This has resulted in river levels rising in this area today, Saturday 31st March. There may be flooding to low lying land and roads in the area. A flood warning for the River Alne at Chapel Lane and Church Lane in Aston Cantlow and Great Alne has already been issued. Remain vigilant as further rain is expected on Monday 2 April which may lead to further flood risk. We will continue to monitor river levels in this location.

We have seen a mixture of rain, sleet and snow through today (Sunday 21st January) which has caused river levels to begin rising on the Rivers Arrow and Alne. River levels are expected to continue to rise slowly overnight and into Monday which may lead to flooding of low lying land and roads. At this moment in time, no property flooding is expected. River levels are expected to remain raised throughout the remainder of today, so this Flood Alert and the existing Flood Warning will remain in force.
