The rainfall intensity has eased over the last few hours, although there may be further pulses of heavier rain until the early hours of Monday. River levels on the Irvine are expected to peak at around midnight, but will remain high throughout Monday morning. A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Queens Drive, New Mill Road and Samson Avenue. Following heavy rainfall throughout the day, river levels in the Irvine have risen rapidly and as a result flooding of the Queen?s Drive area of Kilmarnock is expected later this evening. This means that flooding of the Scott Ellis playing fields, access to the retail park and properties in and around Queen?s Drive is now possible.
