Flooding can occur at any time of day or night and with little warning. Our App ensures you have the essentials to hand to monitor your flood risk and help you be prepared whenever and wherever you are.
Live flood warnings and alerts
Using real time data directly from the Environment Agency, National Resources Wales and Scottish Environmental Protection Agency our interactive flood maps show the current flood warnings and alerts in place across England, Scotland and Wales. Using Ordnance Survey maps you can zoom down to the property level and read the full details of the flood warning and alerts that are issued.
Sign up for flood warnings and alerts via email
Sign up to our free email flood warning service for any number of locations. Our notification service also uses real time data directly from the national flood warning agencies. When they issue a flood warning we immediately send you an email to advise you that a flood alert or warning has been issued for your area and the full details of the alert or warning.
Check your flood risk
Using flood risk maps covering England and Wales we have developed an online map that allows you to understand whether your home or your business is located in an area that is at risk from flooding from a river or the sea. Our maps also allow users to understand how likely their property is to be flooded by advising whether their property is located in a High, Medium, Low, or Very Low flood risk area.
Create your digital flood action plan
If you receive a flood alert or flood warning advising you that your property may be about to flood, having a flood action plan will help you prepare your property and make the most of whatever time you have. Our digital Flood Action Plan can be accessed whenever and wherever you are and includes some great features:
- Download and print your flood action plan
- Share your flood action plan with others via email or social media
- Store important information. For example, the location of utility shut offs
- Store important phone numbers and key contacts details
- Suggestions on how you can prepare your home in advance of a flood
- Hints and tips to help your minimise flood damage
View live river level, river flow and rainfall data
Using real time data directly from the Environment Agency you can keep track of current river and rainfall readings at any one of the 4,395 river flow and rainfall stations in England.
View the current 5-day flood forecast
Using data directly from Environment Agency view the latest 5 day flood forecast for England and Wales.
View the flood alert and flood warning history for any given location
Using historical data from the Environment Agency and National Resources Wales find out what flood alert and warning areas your property is located in and what flood alerts, flood warnings and severe flood warnings have been issued in the past 5 years.

To install the Flood Assist app to your iPhone follow the instructions below:
- Open Safari on your iOS device.
- Visit the website of the desired PWA.
- Tap the "Share" icon in Safari.

- Confirm the installation by tapping the "Add" button.

To install the Flood Assist app to your Android device follow the instructions below:
