Portgordon to Cullen
A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Portgordon to Cullen. A combination of spring high tides and storm surge means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads and properties along Moray Firth from Portgordon to Cullen. Low lying parts of Portgordon are at risk of flooding, including Hope Street, Garden Lane and West High Street. The A990 coastal road from Portgordon to Buckie may also be at risk. Flooding impacts are expected for the hours either side of high tide on Thursday afternoon around 14:00 GMT. There will remain a risk of flooding overnight into Friday morning around the high tide at 02.00 GMT as winds move round to the North and will be near gale force for a time increasing wave heights along the Moray coast. Areas at risk on Friday morning may also include Cullen. Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property. A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Portgordon to Cullen. A combination of high tides, strong winds and storm surge means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads and properties along Moray Firth from Portgordon to Cullen. Low lying parts of Portgordon are at risk of flooding. This may include the A990 coastal road from Portgordon to Buckie; The A942 Great Eastern Road in Buckie could be at risk of flooding. Areas at risk of flooding in Portgordon include Hope Street, Garden Lane and West High Street. Flooding is expected around the times of the high tides on Sunday at 00:00 GMT and Monday 13:00 GMT. There could be a small chance of flooding during Tuesdays 01:00 GMT high tide. An updated flood warning will be issued on Monday if the situation changes for Tuesdays high tide Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
