River levels are high and rising following recent heavy rainfall. Flooding is expected today 26/09/24. Areas most at risk are Palgrave Road, Cauldwell Street, Holme Street Holt Row, Melbourne Street, Heron Quay, Riverside Square, Kingsway, St Johns Street, Rays Close, Duckmill Lane, Chethams, Cardington Road, Kingsbrook Road, Lindisfarne Priory and Castle Mill Cottage. Further rainfall is forecast today and tonight, 26/09/2024 which will keep river levels high. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger.
