Over the last few days heavy rainfall has fallen in the Northamptonshire area causing high flows in rivers and flooding to many areas. Levels in the River Nene will remain high today, Tuesday, 29th December and are expected to remain high for the next few days. We are monitoring the situation, and have staff out checking for blockages and clearing weedscreens. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers.
