River levels are high on the lower River Loddon as a result of rainfall over the past few days, water levels have started to reduce this morning and are expected to continue to do so today. Water is still out of banks and flooding low laying land and roads is happening in various locations.
Further rain showers are expected to continue today and more rain is due this evening and overnight. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been in the area clearing trash screens and checking defences. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated this evening, 21/12/19, or as the situation changes.
