Severn Estuary
Low pressure will cause sea levels to be higher than forecast in time tables. First forecast high water is 20:45 on 11/03/20 with a level of 8.56 mAOD and a Force 6 South Westerly wind. Second forecast high water is 09:00 on 12/03/20 with a level of 8.49 mAOD and a Force 6 West South Westerly wind. Times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth but impacts may be two hours either side of the high tide. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Severn Estuary from the Severn View Industrial Park to the tidal River Avon including Severn Road, Holesmouth, Smoke Lane Industrial Estate and Royal Edward Dock. Peak levels will be higher than the tide this morning, 11/03/20. Our incident response staff are checking defences and closing flood gates. Take care along beaches, promenades and roads as large waves can be dangerous. Please install property flood resilience equipment. This message will be updated on 12/03/20.
