River levels are beginning to fall at the Ellington Brook river gauge following persistent heavy rainfall yesterday, 21/11/22. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible today, 22/11/22. Flooding is affecting Ellington Brook at Spaldwick, Ellington and Brampton.
Some light rainfall is possible today, but we do not expect this to have a significant impact on river levels.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

River levels have risen and are continuing to rise at the Ellington river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible between today, 21/11/22 and tomorrow, 22/11/22. Flooding is affecting Ellington Brook at Spaldwick, Ellington and Brampton
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high into the early hours of tomorrow morning, 22/11/22.
