Paston Brook, Werrington Brook, Marholme Brook, Brook Drain and Car Dyke Eye
Heavy rainfall is forecast overnight and throughout Tuesday across Peterborough Area. This means that Peterborough Brooks are expected to rise, which will lead to flooding of low lying land and roads close to the river from early morning on Tuesday 5th October onwards. We expect the river to remain high throughout Tuesday. Our forecasts indicate that flooding to properties isn't likely at this time and therefore flood warnings are not expected to be issued. We are constantly monitoring river levels, and have staff in the field checking for blockages and clearing weedscreens. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads. This message will be updated during Tuesday 5th October or as the situation changes.
