Following rainfall overnight and this morning, river levels on the river weaver are continuing to rise. Levels will rise throughout the afternoon and evening. The walkway is likely to be cut off from around 15:30 on the 06/01/25. River levels will remain high throughout the night and into the early hours of the 07/01/25. River levels are rising throughout this evening, Sunday 24th November. Areas most at risk include Northwich Marina. We are erecting temporary flood barriers as Phase 1 is in operation. Demountable barriers at Barons Quay and Waitrose have been erected and gates at Waitrose, Children's Nursery and Weaver Court have been closed.. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
