River Ottery
Flooding is expected throughout Sunday 16th. Whilst the heaviest of the rain has now passed, catchments are saturated and river levels remain high. Further rainfall in the early hours of Sunday morning is leading to levels continuing to rise, set to peak by midday.
Particularly at risk are properties and low lying areas around Leat Cottages and the B3254.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day. This message will be updated by 18:00 on Sunday 16th February, or earlier if conditions change. Our staff are out in the area and will relay information and assist the emergency services and council.

River Ottery
Flooding is expected on Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
Heavy rain which fell in the area earlier today Saturday 15th February has caused the River Ottery to rise. Further heavy and persistent rain is forecast later tonight and throughout Sunday morning 16th February.
Properties and low lying areas around Leat Cottages and the B3254 will start to flood first during the early hours of Sunday morning, with further flooding expected later on Sunday morning as river levels rise in response to more heavy rain later tonight.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.

River Ottery
Following heavy rainfall passing over the area on Saturday, river levels remain high. Although no further rainfall is expected today, catchments are saturated and therefore it is likely that it may be well into Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning before levels start to fall. There is still a risk of property flooding at Yeolmbridge and Ham Mill.
We are constantly monitoring river levels and have operatives in the field to relay information, clear blockages and operate defences if required. We will update this Flood Warning as the situation changes.

River Ottery
Following prolonged rainfall overnight, 30-40mm of rain has fallen on the River Ottery catchment, and rising river levels are increasing the risk of flooding.
We are expecting river levels to continue to rise throughout Saturday morning and remain high over the course of the day. Low lying properties at Yeolmbridge and Ham Mill are particularly at risk.
The rain is clearing from midday today giving rise to drier conditions and we expect river levels to gradually fall over this evening.
We are constantly monitoring river levels and have operatives in the field to relay information, clear blockages and operate defences if required. We will update this Flood Warning by 5pm this evening or earlier if the situation changes.
