River Ottery
Following heavy rainfall passing over the area on Saturday, river levels remain high. Although no further rainfall is expected today, catchments are saturated and therefore it is likely that it may be well into Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning before levels start to fall. There is still a risk of property flooding at Yeolmbridge and Ham Mill. We are constantly monitoring river levels and have operatives in the field to relay information, clear blockages and operate defences if required. We will update this Flood Warning as the situation changes.

Flood Warning issued on 26 Oct 2019 10:22
River Ottery
Following prolonged rainfall overnight, 30-40mm of rain has fallen on the River Ottery catchment, and rising river levels are increasing the risk of flooding. We are expecting river levels to continue to rise throughout Saturday morning and remain high over the course of the day. Low lying properties at Yeolmbridge and Ham Mill are particularly at risk. The rain is clearing from midday today giving rise to drier conditions and we expect river levels to gradually fall over this evening. We are constantly monitoring river levels and have operatives in the field to relay information, clear blockages and operate defences if required. We will update this Flood Warning by 5pm this evening or earlier if the situation changes.
