Flooding is possible for seafront properties in Mounts Bay over the high tide on Wednesday evening. High water at Newlyn is at 18:24, times of high water will vary along the coast. Elevated sea levels may cause flooding in the Mounts Bay area around the time of high tide. Conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Expect tides to be around 250mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. The forecast wind speed over the peak tide will be force 5 in a SSW direction. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Sea levels are set to peak on Wednesday afternoon, however large waves and strong winds are expected from Thursday morning. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes. Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level at Newlyn is 3.10 mAOD, this is 0.25 metres above astronomical tide level.

Flooding is expected for seafront properties in Mounts Bay over the high tide on Sunday morning (4th March). High water at Newlyn is at 06:10am. Large waves and easterly winds along the coast, coinciding with spring tides are forecast to cause flooding up to 3 hours either side of high tide. Large waves and spray are likely - stay away from these areas where possible. This may cause localised standing water. Do not drive through flood water or waves. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if it changes. Detailed tidal information; the forecast level at Newlyn is 3.26 mAOD, this is 0.46 metres above astronomical tide level, with Force 6 South Easterly winds and wave heights of 4.3m from the south.

Large waves and strong winds along the coast, coinciding with spring tides are forecast to cause flooding up to 3 hours either side of high tide. Large waves and spray are likely - stay away from these areas where possible. This may cause localised standing water. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Cold weather is likely to increase hazardous conditions. Further flood warnings are possible over the weekend. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if it changes. Detailed tidal information; the forecast level at Newlyn is 3.19 mAOD, this is 0.34 metres above astronomical tide level, with Force 7 SE winds and wave heights of 1.9m.

Severe Gale force 9, easterly winds, and offshore wave heights of up to 6m are forecast to cause flooding to properties in the Mounts Bay area up to 3 hours either side of high tide. Expect tides to be around 400mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. This may cause localised standing water. Do not drive through flood water or waves. The current cold weather conditions are also likely to increase hazardous conditions along the coast. Further flood warnings are possible over the weekend. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes.
