Flooding is expected over the high tide on the morning of Tuesday 9th April. High water at Bude is at 06:47, times of high water will vary along the coast. Gale force 8 north westerly winds and offshore wave heights of up to 5m are forecast with flooding to properties possible two hours either side of high tide. Expect tides to be up to 300mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. This may cause localised standing water. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Locations particularly at risk include Port Quin, Port Isaac, Boscastle, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven. Coastal conditions should ease for Tuesday evening’s high tide, however we are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue an update by 11am on Tuesday. Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level at Bude is 4.73 mAOD, this is 0.3 metres above astronomical tide level.

A high spring tide will be accompanied by Force 6 south-westerly winds and wave heights of up to 3m on Wednesday morning. This could result in significant overtopping of low-lying land and quaysides, with property flooding possible within 1-2 hours either side of high tide. Expect tides to be around 200mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather conditions. Do not drive through flood water. Locations particularly at risk include Port Quin, Port Isaac, and Port Gaverne. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes. This could result in significant overtopping of low-lying land and quaysides, with property flooding possible within 1-2 hours either side of high tide. A significant high spring tide will be accompanied by Force 4 north-westerly winds and wave heights of up to 1.9m on Monday morning. This is expected to be the highest tide of this series and could result in significant overtopping of low-lying land, quaysides and property flooding within 1-2 hours either side of high tide. Expect tides to be around 210mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather conditions. High astronomical tides combined with a large tidal surge will result in significantly high water levels over the high tide, with levels being similar to those experienced last evening. Offshore wave heights up to 5m combined with Force 6 – 7 winds may exacerbate any flooding. High water at Padstow is at 17:28 on Sunday, time given in local time. Times of high water will vary along the coast. Flooding may occur up to 2 hours either side of the high tides. Expect tides to be around 500mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Moderate waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. This may cause localised standing water on coastal roads. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Flooding is possible two hours either side of high tide. Expect tides to be up to 740mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Please take extreme care around the coast, storm force winds and large waves will cause significantly hazardous conditions. Do not drive through flood water or waves.
